The largest cat in Europe inhabits only a few areas of Poland. It is estimated that there are no more than 220 lynxes in Poland.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle”][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]They are found mainly in the Carpathians and the Carpathian Foothills and in the Bia\u0142owie\u017ca, Knyszy\u0144ska and Augustowska forests, and very few in Mazowsze and Kujawy. It is very difficult to see the lynx in nature as it is active mainly at night and avoids contact with humans. The lynx is a strictly protected species in Poland, requiring active protection.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”4710″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle”][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”4708″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]It has very high requirements: it prefers a natural mixed forest with dense undergrowth, and there are very few such forests in Poland. It also doesn’t like to move around in open terrain, which makes the vast, forestless areas that dominate urbanized Europe a difficult barrier for him to overcome.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”65″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
